pilates classes farsley

Below are answers to some of the frequently asked questions about my courses.

If you can’t find an answer to your question, feel free to contact me directly.

Any new patients will complete a health screening over the telephone with a Physiotherapist to assess your suitability and gain information about you to tailor the exercises to suit your individual needs.

All classes are held at Anahata Yoga Studio which is based in Sunny Bank Mills, Farsley, Leeds, LS28 5UJ.

The studio is above The Mill Kitchen. You can assess it by entering the open gateway into Sunnybank Mills just after Boheme hair salon on Farsley Town Street. Go through the first glass door on your left then head up the stairs to reach the studio.

You can park in any visitors space in Sunnybank Mills or on Farsley Town Street.

If you are attending the Post Natal Class please note it is not suitable for prams so please bring your baby in their car seat or a sling.

You will need to wear comfortable clothing that you feel happy to exercise in.

The class is completed with shoes off which are to be stored outside the studio on the shoe racks provided.

Mats and equipment are provided but please bring a small hand towel to lay over your head block.

Please also feel free to bring a bottle of water to stay hydrated during the class.

All classes will have a maximum of 12 people at any one time.

Please note the classes can be mixed with males and females.

Small class sizes are designed to create a safe and supported exercise environment and allow classes to be adjusted to suit individual needs.

All classes run as a 6 week block and costs £63.

The Pregnancy and Post Natal classes include a weekly email of education or exercises. The Post Natal class includes an abdominal check.

Louise Samuels is a Charted Physiotherapist and certified APPI Pilates Instructor who is trained in exercise rehabilitation including Ante and Post Natal Pilates.

She will use her skills and knowledge to design and teach an effective and safe class. The exercises will be explained and demonstrated and she may correct your technique as required during the class.

Ideally please try to attend every class as the class becomes progressively more challenging each week.

Not everyone progresses at the same speed therefore it is important that you work at your own comfortable level.

If for any reason you can’t attend a class please let the Physiotherapist know and the class plan can be emailed out upon request to catch up at home.

You can book onto another block of classes as each block will vary.

You will be offered to rebook for the next block and it is required to be paid by the final week of your current block to secure your place before any available spaces will be released to non class members. It is recommended that you continue to practice the Pilates exercises at home and use the principles and cues learnt into every day life.

Yes you are welcome to bring your baby along to the classes in their car seat or place them out to lay on the soft flooring (please bring your own mat/blanket).

A selection of toys will be available but they are to be used at your own risk as you are responsible for the safety of your baby throughout the class.

The venue is up a flight of stairs and not accessible with a pram so please bring your baby in their car seat or a sling.
